A toast to history’s most notable not-to-be.

This luminous libation captures the yearning at the heart of Gatsby’s dream. Green Chartreuse evokes the glow of that distant light across the bay, while vodka, elderflower, and lime pirouette gracefully beneath a cascade of champagne. Garnished with a twist of lime, it’s elegant, ephemeral, and just out of reach.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz Absolut Elyx or classica vodka
  • ½ oz Green Chartreuse
  • ¾ oz elderflower cordial
  • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
  • Champagne (approx. 2 oz, or to taste)
  • Thin lime ribbon or a green grape on a pick for garnish

Equipment:

  • Coupe or flute glass
  • Cocktail shaker

Instructions:

  1. Add Ingredients: Add vodka, chartreuse, elderflower, and lime with ice.
  2. Plus a Little Fizz: Strain into a chilled glass and top with champagne.
  3. Garnish and Serve: Garnish and serve immediately.
