Indianapolis Ballet, Inc. is thrilled to announce its robust 2024/25 season. Approaching its eighth full artistic season, Indianapolis Ballet will be presenting eight productions beginning with the uplifting performances of Beyond Ballet, a part of the annual IndyFringe Theatre Festival. This season is full of premieres, such as George Balanchine’s Square Dance, to world premieres of original works choreographed by Indianapolis Ballet artists and guest choreographers. The elegant classical ballet, Swan Lake, is also featured and will be another show stopping collaboration with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Clowes Memorial Hall. The 2024/25 season will surely showcase the versatility and innovativeness of Indianapolis Ballet.

Beyond Ballet
IndyFringe Theatre Festival | The District Theatre | August 15 – 25, 2024

Beyond Ballet features our artists in multiple lights as they perform works from classical ballet to jazz. Many works featured in this production have included choreography by Founding Artistic Director Victoria Lyras, Assistant Artistic Director Kristin Young Toner, guest choreographers such as Scott Jovovich, and premieres choreographed by Indianapolis Ballet artists.

Square Dance
The Tobias Theater at Newfields | September 20 – 22, 2024

Neoclassical folk dance meets elegant artistry. Join Indianapolis Ballet at the Tobias Theater at Newfields for the first residency production of the 2024/25 season, Square Dance, which features George Balanchine’s Square Dance and Marius Petipa’s Raymonda Act III. Audiences will be captivated by the array of styles in this mixed-repertoire production.

New Works
The District Theatre | November 7 – 10, 2024

Highlighting the creative talents of Indianapolis Ballet’s artistic staff and artists, New Works delivers a unique, up-close-and-personal experience in the intimacy of The District Theatre. Audiences will also get to know the choreographers featured in this production through exclusive Q&A sessions during intermission.

Family Series: Nutcracker Sweets
The Tobias Theater at Newfields | December 27 – 30, 2024

The holiday tradition you know and love, deliciously bite-sized for the very young and young at heart! Join Indianapolis Ballet at The Tobias Theater at Newfields to experience Family Series: Nutcracker Sweets, a one-hour abbreviated version of The Nutcracker. Indianapolis Ballet is thrilled to bring our audiences joy through magical storytelling and dancing in this favorite holiday production. Performances are held at 12:00pm and 3:00pm.

Be Our Valentine
The Tobias Theater at Newfields | February 14 – 16, 2025

Feel the love this February by joining us at The Tobias Theater at Newfields to experience Indianapolis Ballet’s performance of Be Our Valentine. This production will feature a variety of repertoire sure to spice up your winter, featuring George Balanchine’s Who Cares? along with a world premiere.

Swan Lake
With the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra | Clowes Memorial Hall | March 28 – 29, 2025

A timeless tale of magic, romance, and tragedy, Swan Lake stands as a pinnacle of classical ballet, captivating audiences for over a century with its mesmerizing choreography, hauntingly beautiful music, and timeless tale of love and transformation. Family Series: Sleeping Beauty Suite
The Tobias Theater at Newfields | April 25 – 27, 2025
A classic fairytale brought to life, the production of a Family Series: Sleeping Beauty Suite is a timeless fairytale that the entire family will enjoy as this is an abbreviated version of the full-length ballet, The Sleeping Beauty. Perfect for the young arts lovers of your family, we hope you join Indianapolis Ballet for this closing season performance.
