A celebration of Parisian splendor and romance.

Like the eponymous heroine, this cocktail is deceptively complex—at once sweet, earthy, and seductive. Notes of citrus, herbs, and licorice transport you to a Parisian world where anyone can rise from humble beginnings to become the belle of the ball and, perhaps, recapture the heart of a lost love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz dry gin
  • 1 ½ oz French dry vermouth
  • ⅓ oz Bénédictine
  • A dash of Absinthe
  • A dash of Peychaud’s or other Creole-style bitters
  • Thin lemon ribbon for garnish

Equipment:

  • Coupe glass
  • Cocktail shaker

Instructions:

  1. Add Ingredients: In the cocktail shaker, stir the gin, vermouth, Bénédictine liqueur, Absinthe, and bitters with ice.
  2. Strain: Strain into a chilled glass.
  3. Garnish and Serve: Garnish and serve immediately.
