This October, we are thrilled to bring the artistic worlds of choreography and couture together once again at New York City Ballet’s annual Fall Fashion Gala on Wednesday, October 9.
This much anticipated evening of dance and design will feature ballets choreographed by three distinguished women, including a world premiere by New York-based choreographer Caili Quan, with costumes by acclaimed fashion designer Gilles Mendel of House of Gilles. Following a residency with the New York Choreographic Institute, Quan’s work in the fall marks her first for the Company. The program will also include the NYCB premiere of Gianna Reisen’s Signs, originally created for the School of American Ballet’s 2022 Workshop Performances with costumes by NYCB’s Director of Costumes, Marc Happel, along with Tiler Peck’s Concerto for Two Pianos, which NYCB premiered this past winter with costumes by designer Zac Posen.
The evening will begin at 5:30 PM with a cocktail reception hosted by Ruinart Champagne, followed by the performance at 7 PM, and will conclude with an elegant dinner on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater.
