I never leave home without my foot roller!

Mean Girls.

Dancer who’s inspired you?
Roberto Bolle. I used to study his walking and running on YouTube. He has a nice balance of masculine energy with softness and grace.

Song/artist/playlist you’ve been playing on repeat?
Polo & Pan.

Least favorite dance step?
Flic-Flac en tournant can go.

How do you like to spend your time outside of dance?
I teach Pilates, work in the yard, and play Nintendo Switch.

Best place to hang out in your company’s home city?
De Nada Cantina or Cheer Up Charlie’s.

Dream role?
I would have to say either Romeo or Albrecht.

Go-to coffee shop order?
I usually just drink black coffee, but sometimes I’ll get an Americano.

Essential post-show ritual?
Using a foam roller with a glass of red wine nearby.

ABOUT MORGAN
Morgan Stillman began his formal ballet training with Project Ballet in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and attended Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. In 2014, he joined Nevada Ballet Theatre and performed principal and soloist roles. Morgan joined Ballet Austin in 2017 and has performed choreography by Justin Peck, Pam Tanowitz, Lar Lubovitch, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, George Balanchine, Christopher Wheeldon, Jennifer Hart, and Amy Seiwert. Morgan has danced principal roles in many of Stephen Mills’ productions; highlights include Hamlet (Hamlet), Petruccio (The Taming of the Shrew), Poe (Poe / A Tale of Madness), and in Light / The Holocaust & Humanity Project. He has also enjoyed performing the Prince role in The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Cinderella, and The Firebird. During the summer season, Morgan performs with Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance with artistic director Heather Maloy in Asheville, North Carolina, where he has danced many dynamic roles such as The Vampire (Vampyre), Julius Caesar (Cleopatra), and the Wind God (Satto by Salvatore Aiello). He also performed with the National Choreographic Initiative in Irvine, California in 2017 and 2018.
