Founded in 1954, the company continues to expand its reach with the launch of its Second Company and new work commissions from women choreographers and internationally acclaimed dancemakers who represent unique voices. It has increased regional programming, deepened community outreach programs and developed new educational activities.

Guided since 2021 by Artistic/Executive Director Anthony Krutzkamp, an innovative choreographer whose keen artistic approach inspires dancers and audiences while helping to raise the image and reputation of Sacramento Ballet.
