Saint Louis Blues
Choreographed by Gen Horiuchi, this dynamic ballet set to W.C. Handy’s soulful rhythms returns by popular demand. Fresh from a successful Tokyo run, it features live jazz by New York–based composer Toya and stunning vocals by Special Guest!

Hallelujah Junction
Peter Martins’ Hallelujah Junction is set to a score of the same name by John Adams. The music was written for two pianos, and named after a small truck stop near the California-Nevada border. Adams said of the piece, “It was a case of a good title needing a piece, so I obliged by composing this work for two pianos.” The work centers on delayed repetition between the two pianos, creating an effect of echoing sonorities. There is a constant shift of pulse and meter, but the main rhythms are based on the rhythms of the word “Hal-le-LU-jah.”

The Chairman Dances
Choreographed by Peter Martins, The Chairman Dances blends the vocabulary of classical ballet with traditional Chinese lyrical gestures and pageantry, enhancing the repetitive minimalism of John Adams’ score with bold, colorful staging.

Liturgy
Choreographed by Tony Winner Christopher Wheeldon (Carousel) in 2003 for New York City Ballet, this pas de deux has a mystical quality as the male and female dancer separate and return to one another with increasing intensity. This piece is physically demanding with difficult and intriguing partnering that can take the audience on a journey both spiritual and profound.

Touhill Performing Arts Center | April 24–26, 2026

Gen Horiuchi’s enchanting full-length Cinderella returns to the stage, set to Prokofiev’s timeless score.
