In the ballet world the 23/24 season lineup has been announced and the final show of this season wrapped up in a flurry of bows and thunderous applause. But as the curtain lowers on that last performance, have you ever wondered what happens next? What do the dancers do in the time before the next season kicks off? 

This slice of time known as summer layoff is part of the traditional dancer’s yearly rhythm, and it is just as full of dancing excitement as the ballet season itself!
