Bold vision, beloved tradition, and new artistic territory

From the scandalous to the hilarious, each performance in Texas Ballet Theater’s 2026–27 Season is a striking display of artistry and athleticism. “This season feels like a beautiful continuation of the work we’ve been building together.” says Artistic Director Tim O’Keefe. “I’m incredibly proud of our dancers and excited to challenge them with choreography that stretches them stylistically—from classical foundations to contemporary storytelling that pushes them into new artistic territory. We are a storytelling company at heart, and this season offers stories that are joyful, thought-provoking, dramatic, and comedic. My hope is that every audience member, whether they’re drawn to bold contemporary works or beloved classics, finds something that speaks to them.”

Winspear Opera House & Bass Performance Hall | September 18–20 & October 2–4, 2026

Sensual. Daring. Unexpectedly human. Casanova strips away the legend to reveal a man driven as much by longing as by lust. Set against the opulence of 18th-century Venice, this visually stunning ballet blends Baroque grandeur with bold, cinematic movement. What emerges is not just a tale of seduction, but a portrait of a soul caught between indulgence and introspection.

Note: While artistically driven, the work includes mature themes and sensual elements that may not be suitable for younger audiences.

Winspear Opera House & Bass Performance Hall | November 27–December 6 & December 11–27, 2026

This timeless tale follows young Clara through a dreamlike journey from her family’s festive home to the shimmering Kingdom of Sweets. With spectacular sets, iconic choreography, and moments of pure wonder, The Nutcracker is a cherished family tradition that captures the wonder and warmth of the season.

Wyly Theatre & Bass Performance Hall | February 19–21 & February 26–28, 2027

Two world premieres and a crowd favorite—each celebrating the breadth and brilliance of contemporary dance. Silas Farley choreographs a neo-classical ballet rooted in musicality and classical form, shaped with contemporary clarity, and Brett Ishida creates an intimate, atmospheric piece grounded in precision and sculptural movement. And Celts, a high-energy audience favorite, bursts with athleticism, driving rhythms, and the uplifting spirit of Celtic folk influences.

Winspear Opera House & Bass Performance Hall | May 14–16 & May 21–23, 2027

Enjoy a tale of mischief, magic, and romance—guaranteed to make you laugh. This sparkling comedy follows the spirited Swanhilda, her hapless sweetheart Franz, and the eccentric Dr. Coppélius in a playful adventure brimming with wit, warmth, and classical charm. Featuring buoyant, character-rich choreography, vibrant sets, and exquisitely detailed costumes, Coppélia is a joyful celebration of love, laughter, and the art of storytelling.
